So i do the same thing pretty much everyday. Get up, go to work, come home from work, eat dinner, work out, go to bed. Well, this week has been a little different. Tuesday night, i worked late then had to go to Babies R Us. There was a class going on in there, I guess about their products and stuff and boy, I gotta tell ya - there was rough lookin crowd of pregnant women in there. They all looked like they could kick my ass. When and if I am with child, please remind me to do my hair and makeup.
So, Wednesday, Los and I went to his mother's (Inga) house for her birthday. Always a goodtime. I had a few Warsteiner's and 2 shots of Jaegermeister. Erwin was playing German music in the background but he had to keep fiddlin with the stereo cause it kept skipping. Thank goodness we got home in time for the first half of the finale of Project Runway.
Now tonight, I am going to my sister-in-law's mother's house for a Pampered Chef Party. I'm hoping they have the good ice cream scooper that a friend of mine purchased a few years ago. I've kinda been holding out for one of these cause I know they have a good one and Los has been wanting one for a while, he keeps bending our spoons. I must make it home in time for Lost. I know, I know that's what the DVR is for....but it's just not the same, and everyone talks about it on Friday morning.
So my weekday nights this week have been busy. I'd like to say that I'm spontaneous and a fly by the seat of my pants kinda gal, but I gotta tell ya, I really like my daily routine of getting up, going to work, going home, going to bed. So I guess that is the point of my story.
I really need to start taking pictures cause my blog is pretty boring.

Atlantic City, gambling, food.
So Los and I went to Atlantic City, unfotunately, I will be returning to work due to unforseen gambling losses.
We hit a lot of traffic on our way down there, so we were almost late for dinner. We went to Morton's Steak house. I thought it was way too pricey. Don't get me wrong, the steak i had was delicious...but not for $39.00. It ended up being a $200 dinner! Without dessert! Not that we're big dessert eaters anyway. But there was bernaise and hollandaise on the table...I could bathe in any sause that ends in an "aise".
I would've gone to Pickles, the chicken noodle soup is delicous and they have great deli sandwiches and we are usually comped. I guess i'm more practical these days. Don't get me wrong, I love fancy stuff, but I can make a steak at home. But anyway, I had a great time with my hubby and a wonderful Valentine's day!
Last night Johnnay came over and we went to the bar, Durty Nelly's that's up the street from us. Once again, due to unforseen gambling losses, i put 5 bucks in for a fifty fifty (the people in South Philly would say, fidee fidee) and we lost. But anyway, we had a good time and John said some funny stuff. Apparently there is a wine called "Pinot Nowhere". We woke up Sunday morning and made a big breakfast... we tried to do some last minute invites, but nobody could make it.
Oh well, next time. I realized there are no places near us, in delco, that have brunch, like with mimosas and blood mary's. So the next time we have off on a monday, expect an invite for brunch!

Writer's Strike/Basement Furniture
I know, I know. I'm sorry I haven't written in a while. I don't have too much to say. I'm not a great story teller.
We got new basement furniture. It looks really nice, and most important, it's comfy. I clean the whole upstairs when we're expecting people over... but where do they go? Straight through the kitchen and right down the steps to where there's 2 tv's, a bar, dart board, karaoke machine, guitar hero, about a thousand cds and most important these days, the Wii.
I got stopped by a cop this morning in the subway.....ahahaha, I bet that sounded good. He and his wife were on babara and my dart team. I always forget his name, but hey, He's a Philly cop and it's a dangerous town right now, so thanks for workin hard out there, Sgt. Niceguyfromdartswhomi'vemetathousandtimesandforgetyourname!
Los and I have a long weekend this weekend(presidents day). We took off on Friday, so we're celebrating Valentine's Evening in AC. We're having dinner at Morton's in Ceasars and staying at Bally's. It should be fun, I hope we win big, or atleast our dinner, or maybe just our parking.
Then its back home on Friday - we have no plans yet and that doesnt bother me one bit. We usually end up getting a million offers to do something, and sometimes we zero offers and that doesnt bother me either.
I'm thinking about having a birthday party for myself, i'm not gonna go nuts making food like barbarpeapods christmas party. I want to relax and look fabulous and have food made for me (that means finding a good caterer). What do you think of a house party? And any good places in Delco to order from?
I think i have bored you long enough....Schue

odds and ends/Happy Thanksgiving!
So, I have a 3 day weekend, YAY! I'm not really doing too much. I woke up at 1030 today. So, still i have not hit my 9am weekend wake up goal. Oh well. I like my sleep.
Sam the Butcher from the Brady Bunch passed away. So sad. He was 84. I guess he just couldn't give the meat away anymore. (i know theres something funnier i could say)
Today I made macaroni and cheese, it came out pretty good. I just think it's a little bland. I even put some bacon in it. I thought I had extra sharp cheddah, but i guess i didn't. I think that's what it's missing. Any thoughts to beef it up?
Los made asian chicken wings, they smell delicious. There were alot of ingredients, hopefully they'll come out good. I am also marinating a london broil, i'm going to cook it up like a brisket. Thanks Jess for the idea!! (hers was delicious, i hope mine is too)!
Barbrapeapod and I usually make Thanksgiving on MLK day,but we're not doing it this year. No big woop, we're both kinda not in the mood. Plus, I hate cleaning the turkey, It's disgusting.
Now, I just get the turkey breast. So sorry folks, Thanksgiving is not a holiday I will be taking over. I already have Christmas - I make filet mignon and some kind of seafood.
In fact, the reason we started MLK Thanksgiving, was because of the free turkey from the supermarket. So one Sunday after the Eagles lost in the playoffs, we started saying Happy Thanksgiving to everyone at the bar. We were sad about the Birds losing, but were excited to make a turkey and have an extra little holiday, and of course play 8 hours of Gauntlet on playstation. When we first started it, was back in the day when Barbrapeapod and DD were just "hooking up". When he left, he said, "See ya later and Happy Thanksgiving!" We just immediately started cracking up - no wonder she loves him!!!
So anyway, Have a great weekend and Happy Thanksgiving!

sleep
So, i made a new years resolution....my goal is to wake up before 10am on the weekends.I did it last weekend, but I woke up at 10:40 ish today. Hey, I like to sleep. How is it that i am that person on the train who reads 2 pages of a book and then pretty much passes out until my stop? And why is it that when I lay in bed, I can't fall asleep? I once fell asleep standing up. I was in a crowded church in Sea Isle City, NJ, there were no seats and we had to stand. I was in the ocean all day, I was tired. I woke up for Communion.
Anywho, i'm awake now and I have to start my day. It's "organizing weekend". It's the one weekend that Los and I don't have any plans (then we always get invited to go places, oh well, it's good to be loved). So soon it's off to the computer room to organize all the wires to our electronic stuff.
On TV, I found 2 episodes of Beverly Hills 90210 and 2 episodes of The OC. Jackpot!
Oh well, i'm rambling..... I just thought i should update my blog.

Mousecersize
I was sitting on my couch reading a celeb magazine, looking at glow of my Christmas tree, and then I saw it. A mouse. I can't tell you how much I am afraid of them. Los thinks I'm crazy, like they are carrying machetties or something. I say they carry disease and poop in your cereal.
I saw one a few months ago and I freaked out. I couldnt sleep. I got up went to work, i was dreading going home. After I finally went into the house, i realized I couldn't stay, so i quick packed a bag and went to my parent's house. They too, thought i was crazy. So I called an exterminator. They were very nice. They calmed me down and offered me a 1 year contract...I got the contract. They come out once a quarter and check the traps. I haven't seen a mouse in a while and i was finally comfortable opening cabinets, closets, drawers, etc. I just got my bill for the next appt. I was a little late paying and kinda lazy about making the appt., but i finally did. They came on a Friday and basically found nothing, no droppings, no dead ones-nothing. Then I saw one on Monday. Ewww! It went into my living room closet. I screamed and called Los, he looked and looked but didnt find it. I was freaked out, but not as bad this time, just because there are traps in my house and hopefully it will run into one.
So Tuesday I was ready for a mousercism. I got into work and ordered a plug in thing with the supersonic sounds that bothers their nervous system, but i have to wait for that. I also brought home peppermint oil. They don't like the smell. So I put some water on the stove with some peppermint oil and let it boil for a few hours, then filled up bowls and bud vases with the oil and strategically placed them around the house (they look much nicer than traps). I made a solution of the oil and water and sprayed all over the outside of my house, twice. So now, my house smells like an Altoid. It's now Friday and my supersonic plug in thing should arrive today. All I can say is Buh-bye! I will let you know how it goes.

Family Feud
So TV has been pretty bad these days, but thankfully, the Family Feud is on from 9-10. I love it. The Host is John O'Hurley aka J. Peterman from Seinfeld. I watched him on Dancing with the Stars and loved him so much I had to go see him in "Chicago" on Broadway. He was great.
Of course you can never forget the best host ever, Richard Dawson. Hilarious and so un-p.c. I'm surprised he wasnt smoking a cigarette, but atleast he could smoke and drink on The Match Game. So anyway - here were a few question/answers Los and I saw last night and had tears rolling down our faces!
1. The longest time you have watched TV - 10 mins.
2. Name something you would find in a operating room - A phone.
3. Name a special event when the family gets together for a photo - Photography
And the best one of all last night was.......
4. Name a book you use as a reference often - Dr. Spock
C'mon, does a Dr. Spock book actually exist? The other person said dictionary. Why would Dr. Spock be the first thing that comes out of your mouth? So, screw the library and internet....I'm just going to use my Dr. Spock book as a reference guide.
Any funny answers from the Family Feud you can remember?
